AIOCC x VeloViewer Three Year Partnership

AIOCC logoFollowing a successful inaugural season of collaboration between AIOCC and VeloViewer we are thrilled to announce a three year extension to the working partnership.

It is 12 months since the initial AIOCC contract agreement which made VeloViewer available to all AIOCC members as part of their membership package, and it has been fantastic to see so many Race Organisers benefit from its use.

To mark the close of the 2025 season, at the end of November VeloViewer Director Ben and Office Manager Rachel visited Copenhagen to attend the AIOCC General Assembly.

The AIOCC held its general meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. The 142 AIOCC member races elected the new Management Committee, which appointed Javier Guillen, General Director of the Vuelta a España, as President for four years (2026-2029). The work undertaken in recent years will continue for our association, which is experiencing real momentum, with 28 new races joining us in 2026 to reach for the first time more than 200 member races.

During the proceedings in Copenhagen the impact of the VeloViewer partnership was recognised, and it was fascinating to hear how it has enhanced the efficiency and safety of the cycling season. More specifically it was recognised that the collaboration has benefited Race Organisers while also directly bringing a positive impact to AIOCC, as access to VeloViewer is now a membership perk that is driving more AIOCC membership requests.

With AIOCC membership now exceeding 200 Race Organisers world wide, from smaller races to Grand Tours, the organisation brings together organisers of cycling events to advise and create best practice within racing.

“A large proportion of new AIOCC membership applications were driven by the agreement reached with VeloViewer, an essential tool for enhancing race safety and improving coordination between stakeholders.

Many organizers already use this platform, but work is underway to standardise its use and develop a common manual. Christoph Hugl, SafeR analyst, and Ben Lowe, VeloViewer CEO, are overseeing its development..” Said Kiko Garcia, AIOCC General Director.

The contribution VeloViewer makes to race and rider safety was also acknowledged by Outgoing AIOCC President Christian Prudhomme:

“The SafeR program launched by the UCI offers methods for improvements, and I am delighted that we here at AIOCC, thanks to the work of our Director, Kiko García, and Thierry Gouvenou, in particular, can now speak the same language—during the race—as the teams with the VeloViewer system, which is undoubtedly a genuine safety tool, a concrete step forward.”

VeloViewer Director Ben who attended the AIOCC General Assembly commented on the extension of the AIOCC contract:

“It was fantastic to hear of the benefit that VeloViewer has provided during the 2025 season to Race Organisers, and we are delighted to have secured this collaboration for another three years. In this first year we have forged strong working relationships with the AIOCC team and Race Organisers to deliver a package which helps to enhance processes and safety for the cycling community.

With a strong calendar of events for 2026 already in the pipeline, we are excited to support 201 member races, 56 women’s events and three Grand Tours. With over 30 different countries represented, a busy and exciting season awaits for VeloViewer!”
