Seven Year Sponsorship of Cycling Sheffield

Today our partnership with Cycling Sheffield entered its 7th year! To mark the occasion VeloViewer’s Ben and Rachel joined the team for the new season launch at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC), at Sheffield Hallam University.

The host, Professor Rob Copeland, now Team Manager for Santa Cruz Syndicate, welcomed the Cycling Sheffield team and its supporters. Team Manager, Dave Coulson, introduced the new Under 23 team who are supported and progressed through the British and European cycling scene. The team of eight riders includes two rookies, Josh Horsfield and Oliver Sergeant, who are excited about their debut season. They are all hoping for an injury free season and, for some, are particularly keen to impress when they ride in France and Belgium later in the year in the hope they may attract a contract from a European team for next season.

Ben joined an esteemed panel for a Q&A session with topics ranging from advice for a new Team Manager, how VeloViewer helps riders and a sprinkling of nostalgia of the racing careers of John Herety and Matt Brammeier. John, who represented GB at the 1980 Moscow Olympics recalled  “The Olympic Games was 4 Turkish Delight and an apple, maybe one bidon! How fuelling has changed since then!”

A final surprise was a special video message from 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre wishing the team a successful season.

VeloViewer is proud to sponsor this Sheffield-based team for another year and look forward to following their achievements in 2026.
