The VVOM is an calculated measure used to provide an overall rating of difficulty for each route standalone. The benchmark for a hard stage is 100. The table above indicates the difficulty rating and key colours based on this. The calculation for VVOM takes in the length of the race, the elevation and a multiplying factor is applied based on where a climb features in a race:
