Meet the Team Series – Part 2

Anna Lowe stoof with her road bikePart two of our Meet the Team series and it’s VeloViewer Director Anna Lowe who is in the spotlight. Here she shares an insight into her role at VeloViewer (VV) and how she keeps a healthy work/life balance.

1. What is your role at VeloViewer?

I’m a company Director so I’m involved in oversight of all aspects of the business.  I also have a more hands-on role in leading the work with Race Organisers & Commissaires, this area is developing quickly and it’s exciting to see VV being used in some of the biggest cycling events this season.

2. Chosen sport or activity

Cycling….in a word! My first love is mountain biking and I’m lucky to have local friends to ride with and great trails on the doorstep.  I try to get out on the road bike lots too and ride with a local club which is great for a bit of motivation and inspiration.

3. Most memorable adventure

That’s a tricky one, I’m lucky to have lots to choose from although some of them are memorable for all the wrong reasons.  I mountain biked around the coast of Menorca on a trail called the Cami de Cavalls; that was amazing.  We did it over 4 days and had perfect weather, the scenery was stunning and the terrain had everything from super techie descents, to grippy limestone pavement to sandy coves where you could stop for a dip – it was the perfect mountain bike adventure!

4. Who inspires you to be active and why?

I am inspired by the women’s peloton and love watching the women’s racing. I really notice how much professional cycling defaults to talking about men’s racing.  Women’s racing is absolutely where it’s at right now, so many strong riders and great personalities. There is a lot of joy in it and I love the ‘happy heads make fast legs’ approach.

5. 2024 goals

Having adjusted my work/life balance recently, I really want to get a bit of fitness back.  So I’ll be biking as much as possible and getting back in the gym.  I have a couple of bike trips on the horizon which will keep me focused.
